Autumnal canvas

Canvas print on the wall
Of a warm hospital room,
A fragment of the beauty outside,
For those that are stuck inside,
On this autumnal October day.

Yellow, red, orange, brown leaves,
On the ground of a canvas,
Hung on the empty santized wall,
I hope this patient man leaves,
Walking, to fulfill his last wish.

Hook, line and drink sinker

Tomorrow’s world is here
Didn’t happen like they thought
The dream turned to shit
Evolution changed direction

Another smokey whisky later
Drunken devolution is now me
Might as well join the rest
A nice predictable mess

Positivity takes effort
Big gulps take less
Reality’s effect
In the bottom of a glass

Warmer by water of this life
Not a girlfriend or wife
This heat won’t last
Until I pour another

Love conquers all

How can I be mad?
At someone who I love.
Loves takes many forms
And this is one I never had.

We must all disagree
On some point or another
So it’s ok, to speak a storm
And see beyond, to some degree.

I wish I could trust more
Seems that only I lose out,
And cause the cracks
That I already expect to form.

Through the peehole

What kind of a body
Lives in a room like this?!
Which clothed human
sleeps in wardrobeless room.
Peroxide blonde Paula Yates,
The lookalike writer, ofcourse.

Quick upstairs tour
from a fat Jack Black.
Quietly whispers about
The shared drying rack!
No jokes from this young actor.

They pee in a house like this,
But not at the same time.
Only one toilet.

Ode to the best watcher

He saw beyond God and religion
He saw beyond confines of love
He saw beyond dumb structures
He saw beyond all man-made

He saw nature for what it is
He saw power in non-violence
He saw visions of himself
He saw inside his own mind

Before sailing away in Don Juan
Before drowning in the nature
That he wrote of and loved,
He gifted us this Romance
Before his thirty-first year!

(The Funeral of Shelley by Louis Édouard Fournier, 1889)

Bad dream

Not had a bad dream in a while,
Maybe this is it.

It was crazy, think I cried.
A lot of poor people died
A tower fire in a modern city,
They can’t enjoy the sun today.

The leaders were lost and didn’t look sad.
Then people killed other people
Because they had a different skin,
Skin made different because of the sun.
Don’t hate people, hate The Sun!

People didn’t like other holy books,
So they attacked the believers.
They don’t have to read them!
If only Roald Dahl could have wrote them all,
He would’ve been a good leader,

In my dream I stood on a plug,
On the floor
And it really fuckin hurt,
I don’t feel physical pain in dreams,
So guess this isn’t a dream..

(Roald Dahl around 1939)

The Midlander

I know who my people are
they behave like me
they sound like me,
but not all look like me.
In my middle England.

I like it’s rain, I miss it,
though some may think
I like the sun
Without knowing
That’s my names even Sunny.

I walk faster now
with no destination in mind.
Because I am a lost Midlander
in a capital city
out of the Midlands.
