Feed dreams, starve nightmares

Like two kids fighting for attention,
They both want my energy and focus
Both starved, fighting for growth.

My thoughts feed into their digestion
So the nightmares won’t die.
Should not have reflected on it.

The nightmare won’t get nothing
But suffocation,
It cannot live within me.

I will feed the dream
That ending was happy,
I choose that ending..

Karma Coach

What a huge change
Since I last got on
This smelly coach
With its cigarette smell.
Before I felt my nerves,
Now I’ve got sensations.
I let them all be,
As now I just observe.
I’m sitting next to Nuno again,
But you don’t know him.
He’s a happier man,
Since he found vipassana.
We met on day zero,
Now it’s day eleven.

Time for the karma coach
To take us back home
To a new world,
With a new US president
And an equanimous new me.
There is no better method
Than taking the Karma Coach.

Version 2.0

Yes it’s finally here!
About bloody time too.
The upgrade is happening
Over the air.
Under and through it too.

Some long needed fixes,
For the long-standing bugs,
No more system glitches.
Productivity and progress.
That’s what 2.0 should be called.

Shiny new interface,
Slimmer slick design.
Extra added compassion
And some empathy too.
A fresher, cleaner, purer interface just arrived.

Time to test this new version.
Who wants a play?

E for Equanimity

All the lads on row E,
Made it until the end.
We felt each others movements,
Heard each others breaths,
Knew each others names,
Without using them once.

All the other rows,
Had at least one person leave.
In front and behind,
Are where empty spots emerged.
I felt determination,
From outside my own skin,
I saw the walk of my friends,
In the circuit of the fields.

Friends, comrades and colleagues
are now just memories
but for those 10 days
they were a force.
That’s why on Row E,
E stood for Equanimity.
We stayed and we coped,
with calmness and composure.
Until the last day.

Choose Love

Slogans on a t-shirt
Are not my thing.
How can some clothing,
Tell me to “Choose Love.”
Love has many forms,
Which one does it mean?
And how many people
Would “Choose Misery”?
I do feel love and
I know how to show it.
But I don’t need a shit t-shirt
To tell me to “Choose Love.”
